How Many Golf Clubs Do You Need?
Golfers have too many clubs in their bags. And why is that?
Well, large golf club companies sell their clubs in sets - irons / hybrids have 7, 8 or even 9 clubs in the set and matalwoods are sold as a set of either 3 or 4 clubs. So the golfer buys between 10 and 13 clubs. For players who score 90 or higher (that is 95% of all golfers), the difference in distance for each club is minimal at best. For slower swinging players (those who drive under 190 yards), the difference in distance for each club is NOTHING (yes....0 yards).
For these 95% of all golfers, they should carry a maximum of 8 clubs in their set (plus a putter). And the clubs should have a wider spread in loft angle so that the player could actually see a difference in distance between each club. This method not only simplifies the selection process and makes the game easier but also lightens the load of equipment.
For this reason, Condor Golf sells custom clubs individually and we encourage customers to take advantage of this. If you are unsure what make-up of clubs you need, PLEASE contact us, we will be more than happy to advise you!
