Player profile for the 989CLA irons is players who normally score 90 or higher on regulation courses (6,000 yards or more) AND also for players who lack consistency with iron shots.
The 989CLA sole design features a beveled leading and trailing edge design for all types of grass and turf condition. The very large undercut back cavity increases moment of inertia and off-center hit performance.
#4 and #5 Iron have a very low center of gravity for ease of getting the ball airborne while the #8, #9, PW, Gap Wedge are taller to prevent the ball from going too high. This allows the player to get the best loft gaps between clubs in the set.
