This antique left hand Carnoustie Mashie (aka #5 Iron) was probably manufactured before 1900. It has the original hickory shaft and leather grip. There is a metal cap at the top of the grip which is what was used at the time to keep the grip in place.
Shaft has a very slight curvature halfway down the shaft.
The club measures 36 1/2" in length. It would make an excellent gift for any golfer.
