Persimmon wood goes back over 100 years in its use for golf wood heads. These hand made Persimmon Woods are the same type of golf club that were used from the early 1900's until the mid 1980's by the greats of golf including Bobby Jones, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. Condor Golf began making persimmon woods out of the raw blocks back in 1976. We made thousands of these woods for all players ranging from beginners and intermediate players thru famous touring professionals including Masters champions.
More than 100 steps go into manufacturing these clubs. Every detail and specification is done with expert precision. More care must be taken to preserve the wood than with the modern materials. Our persimmon woods are made from 100% USA grown persimmon trees. They are beautifully finished with a red face insert and a deep mahogany stain that shows the gorgeous persimmon grain. They are available in 11° Driver, 13° #2, 16° #3, 18° #4, 21° #5.
